Brian Malow

Transhumorist or Like the Future, the Title of This Talk is "To Be Determined (By You)"

Brian Malow is Earth's Premier Science Comedian (self-proclaimed).

He has fabricated a career of appearing in places not normally occupied by stand up comedians. When pressed for an explanation, he cites the Pauli exclusion principle and declines to reveal his quantum state or even his state of birth.

In a pattern extending back to childhood, he has been laughed at by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the American Chemical Society, NASA, JPL, the National Association of Science Writers, Apple, Dell, Microsoft, his younger sibling, and many others.

Brian currently makes science videos for Time Magazine's website.

Straddling the last turn of the century, he produced and hosted a pioneering live streaming video talk show, long before a critical mass had broadband. Guests included Brian Greene, William Gibson, and Chuck Palahniuk. Topics included robotics, nanotechnology, cryonics, SETI@home, cosmology, and stem cells.

He has been featured in Nature, Chemical & Engineering News, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Washington Post, and the New York Times, and has appeared on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS).

He also likes to pho to graph insects: His photographs have appeared in Natural History Magazine, The Canadian Journal of Arthropod Identification, and

Most recently, Brian has been giving speaker training workshops for scientists. Clients include the National Research Council of Canada.

He serves on the advisory board of the USA Science & Engineering Festival, where he will be performing in Washington, D.C., in October.

Available for off-world appearances, if transportation is provided.
